About Us

Martin (or Marty to those who know him well) is the founder and principal of Bernhaut Solicitors. He cut his teeth working as a graduate solicitor at Legal Aid NSW – one of only two graduates hired that year. The many years he spent at Legal Aid taught him how important a great lawyer can be to someone in crisis. Since opening his own law firm, he has developed a deeper understanding of clients’ commercial and strategic needs. He has acted for high profile clients as well as ordinary Joes, and he works tirelessly for his clients no matter who they are or where they come from. He is intelligent, dedicated, creative and compassionate in his approach to his clients’ legal issues, and he is fearless in fighting for justice.
